According to the website on the Pentrich Revolution he was born in in Alfreton so this is probably him, BUT it is submitted by a church member. |

There are a number of German Buxtons of different generations, most born Derbyshire. |

hi thanks for that info german 1785 was born in alfreton, he married elizth henshaw b1791c and had a daughter elizabeth 1816 both elizabeths born ilkeston derbyshire. i believe germans parents where samuel buxton 1748c and ann poss fox. after he got sent to australia for life he wrote letters to his family and wife but apparently got no replies so i dont think when he got full pardon in 1830 that he returned to elizabeth and think she may have even remarried??? |

The website for Pentrich Rev states that none of the free men returned to Pentrich so I was wondering about this bloke. |
