hi, is there anyone who could do a check on george buxton please he was born ault hucknall nottinghamshire in 1862c, i believe. his father was john buxton 1817c, born derbyshire and his mother was francis (nee wass) born in sutton in ashfield nottinghamshire, i am trying to see if george had a wife and any children. the only census i can find him on is 1901 living at 42 blackstone street the meadows nottingham as a boarder with maria drake born 1860 and her family. thankyou for any help you may be able to give.

on the 1901 census nottingham parish of st. saviours part of nottingham 42 blackstone street the meadows. george is aged at 28 ie born 1873, hucknall ault, sutton in ashfield, nottinghamshire.

Okay, is the marriage to Frances Wass John's 2nd wife? William Buxton would have been born about 1847 and what an age difference between John and Frances.

You need to follow the names, dates more closely along with the census records found. Is it possible that the date of birth for the John Buxton (1817) is the wrong one; if in fact, the wife was Frances Wass.
