Surely this is the birth? from freebmd

Name: Hugh Keelty
Year of Registration: 1877
Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
District: Bury
County: Greater Manchester, Lancashire
Volume: 8c
Page: 543

As the mother (Ann) was born in Ireland, I would think it's highly likely that it was in Ireland where she married...........

Buy the son's birth cert to find out for sure what his father's name was.........although..........

You said earlier on that the death I posted was definitely your relation..........
