Warner was Ellen's married name. I was trying earlier to find a William Robert Warner on the 1901 census and found him on a vessel in dorset it stated that he was married. Libby kindly looked up the marriage for me but on the page with William Robert Warner were Ellen Morris and Florence Elizabeth Bowles. The year was 1897 I am just trying to work out which one was his wife. So unless they had Ethel out of wedlock I dont think this is the ellen Warner. Thank you for your help. Regards Lisa

OK read extra info now.
How do you know their birth dates? Did you look them up?
Re Ethel, she could be a daughter by a previous marriage. There is a gap in children's ages.
What info do you have that it is the correct marriage? There are a couple of William Robert Warners getting married about that time. Where was he born?
Ozi.

No, obviously this one. As you believe he was married in St Saviour she may not be in Dorset. His family may be based in London or wherever his ship has it's home base.

Hi Ozibird Thank you for all your halp last night. William Robert Warner was born Shoreditch in 1870. I have him with his parents on the 1891 census port? Newington London? Then Libby helped yesterday and found him on 1901 census as colour sergent with the royal marines on Alexandra then she found the marriage but I was trying to find out if it was Ellen Morris or Florence Elizabeth Bowles that he married. Thank you again for looking Lisax

Sorry looking at your thread with 1891 census it looks as though the William Robert found on 1901 is wrong so unless he died he should be out there somewhere?

I think this may answer your question. Alfred Freeman was the other bridegroom on the page with William Robert Warner. I think the stepson confirms the couple below. Lucky you.

Hi Ozibird thank you again for your help sorry we keep missing each other. I dont think now that the William Robert Warner sailor is mine. Yes I had found the Warner's in 1901 with their name transcribed incorrect I had also found Jane's death but I hadnt found Mabel's so thank you for that. On 1891 when we last see William Robert with his parents and siblings it looks as though he is a school teacher just like his sister Florence. I said I had Jane's death but I just looked back at my tree and I had her death as 1900? I dont know where I got that from. So William Robert is still a mystery? Thank you again for your help Lisa x

Lisa, I searched & searched for William, with or without Flor*, with no luck. I wondered if he was a teacher in 1891 but it could be just a dash for not working at all. I'll have another look with fresh eyes.
