Hi,

possible birth;

Surname First name(s) District Vol Page

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Births Dec 1896 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Smith Florence Mabel Lanchester 10a 344

However as Lindsey states, better to buy the marriage cert for her age and fathers name.

Smith is such a popular name, would be a shame for you to go down a wrong avenue.

The address isn't Church Street, however I'm thinking that if Florence left the fathers name empty on her marriage certificate, perhaps she didn't want her step father listed and didn't know her true fathers name, she may even have been out of wedlock??

This is the marriage of Smith and Magnus;

Magnus John Sunderland 10a 948
Smith Ada Florence Sunderland 10a 948

This could be John F's birth;

Smith John Frederick Sunderland 10a 629

Really don't know if this is going to be of any help, or if it will just confuse things. But we haven't got much to work from.

Hi Denise thank you very much,I also thought that she could be born out of wedlock, no we dont have much to work on but I think it makes you more determined.I never knew that there were people like you who gave their time and experience to help others, it gives you some faith in this world we live in.I will be away from the PC untill Sunday night,we are visiting my father inlaw in Scotland ,thanks again you have given me something to think about over the weekend
