Hi Denise thank you very much,I also thought that she could be born out of wedlock, no we dont have much to work on but I think it makes you more determined.I never knew that there were people like you who gave their time and experience to help others, it gives you some faith in this world we live in.I will be away from the PC untill Sunday night,we are visiting my father inlaw in Scotland ,thanks again you have given me something to think about over the weekend |

Hi everyone thank you for the response.Iam very knew to all this, Florence Mabel Smith was my Grandmother who died before I was born, I have the marriage certificate but unfortunately it does not have her Fathers name on.She was aged 21 when she got married on the 27th of September 1914 in StCuthberts church Monkwearmouth Sunderland.I can go back with my Grandfather but nothing with my Grandmother,they both got married from the same address 56 Church street Mokwearmouth Sunderland which would have been in County Durham then,any suggestions please I would be very grateful |
