Trying to find information on my grandfather

My grandfather was George Smith (possibly middle name of Frederick since it was a family tradition to name the firstborn boy by that name). They lived in the Clerkenwell, Islington area of London. I'm sure that he and his wife Elizabeth Ann , who died in 1942, had six children named Alice, Ned, Ted, George, Ernie and Kate. There were step-children involved so I'm not sure in what relationship, I just know that Alice Ned and Ted were blood related, and George, Ernie and Kate were too! |

Yes! George Frederick Smith (1907) was my father. Unfortunately I don't have any records at all! I'm relying on memory a lot... The only information I do have written down is that he was born 14/9/1907, and there is a question to that since he celebrated his birthday in June. |

Do you know how old Elizabeth Ann was when she died in 1942? Or maybe the date of her death, so it could be found in the GRO index? |
