The census info comes from www.ancestry.co.uk which costs about £70 a year to subscribe, which in my view is better than buying vouchers considering the thousands of searches I have done!!

There are also WW1 records and the full BMD index and all sorts of other stuff such as Immigration records.

I wish i could work out how to get all this info, its great

The Googles were the opposite way round.

Which website, on the camdex site you will see on the lefthand side you will see Camdex online records. underneath it has birth data, marriage data & death data. Click on birth data & enter name & other details.
On Cambs fhs click on searchable databases. Go into both sites from Google, I find it easier.

Try Googling Camdex this is a searchable site for births deaths & marriages from 1837.
Also Google Cambs fhs this is another searchable site from 1801 - 1837.
Both very good sites for Cambridgeshire.
