Hi Mark, only just started with my tree. My dad was PERCY CHARLES PEACOCK born in 1918 in ELY DISTRICT. My mum was VERA KAY BACON born in ELY, They where married in ELY in 1943 they have 4 children, Michael, Joan, Glynis and myself Philip. Any more info i can pass on as and when available.

Do you know any of your uncles/aunts names and approx ages to help people search for them?

The only Percys I can find born in Ely were a little earlier in 1914.

No, you would have to buy his birth certificate to get that info. It costs £7.00 from General Records Office.

Which website, on the camdex site you will see on the lefthand side you will see Camdex online records. underneath it has birth data, marriage data & death data. Click on birth data & enter name & other details.
On Cambs fhs click on searchable databases. Go into both sites from Google, I find it easier.
