I've looked for his death from 1983, couldn't see anything.

looked for a marriage from 1934 - 1941, couldn't find anything.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help.

Denise, I know this may be a bit of a liberty, but if you can do one more search for me that would be appreciated.

I know that Martin Andrew George Butler was born in February 1916, however I don't know if he ever got married, or had children or has since passed.

I subscribe to ancestry, you can see a free census on family search for 1881, another free site is freebmd, births, deaths and marriages. It's a fairly new site, but invaluable for tracking down B,M,D's. With the info they provide you are able to order certificates to back your research up.
