Find Ancestors

Hi.

I am trying to find the Ancestors etc of my Great Great Grandmother CAROLINE MANN.
All I know is she was born c1844 in Leicestershire / Warwickshire.
She married John William Lees in 1865 in Atherstone, Warwickshire. They had 2 Daughers & 2 Sons.

Any assistance / information on this would be very much appreciated.

Have you got her on any census

When was John born?

What were the names (and yob) of their children?

Which censuses have you found them on so far?

Where did they live after they married?

I can't seem to find her on the census with husband John in Warwickshire. I don't think the twin birth is the right one. Can you tell me what children they had please?

John was born c1844 in Witherley, Warwickshire.

Their children were:
Elizabeth born 1867 in Merevale.
Sarah born 1868 in Atherstone.
John Thomas born 1872 in Clent.
George W. born 1877 in Harbourne.

Right got them now.

It says Caroline was born in Leics and John.

Caroline 1842 Bistone Leics. The census is transcribed as Burtone Worcs!!

john born 1842 Wickley like you said but transcribed wrong too.

Poss birth for John Lees but there are three all born the same place and about the same years!!

This is the one born 1842.

Just going to look as he is a Widower so Caroline must have died between 1877 and 1881

What a bu**er three deaths within the right years and right places!!!!!! but all different years of birth about the right years!!!!!!!!!!!

So which is the nearest place to Harborne Staffs as George was born there and the family is still there on the 1881 census.

The marriage cert would show her father's name and occupation which would help to pin her down in the 1861 and earlier.

Poss birth for George if you order the birth cert it will tell youhis mothers maiden name. You can say you only want it if the mother is Mann.
