Find Ancestors

To be honest i don't know why...I only know of 1 reason & thats when the parents marry after the birth, but your guy have his Dads surname

He is in fact down 3 times & the 1st two indicate for you to look at the one in Mar 1900...though on FreeBMD it's does say that it does on Ancestry

Sorry Fanny, I am finding these threads a little difficult to follow (this is the first time I have done this!). I see your note about Antonio being listed twice and I believe I have the answer to that. The first 3 children born were all boys and they died - I would imagine that one of the boys was Antonio and in those days if a child died then the next living boy would be given the same name. Does that sound plausible to you? The make up of the household is truly weird and as you say none of the children are shown - except for a daughter Florence who was born in 1901 and by 1911 she is married?? The birth dates do not tie up. See above for a list of the births registered with BMD.

I was aware of Pasquale's death date, but not Angelina, so thanks for that.

I can see this will be a nightmare to try and find information as I can find no trace of him on the 1901 census ....

The clue as to how i know he is down twice is....cos it says so, the 1st one is telling you to look at the 2nd one

INFORMATION I GOT FROM MY NAN (and then checked with BMD records)

Grandparents were Crescenzo (Chrisenz) Capaldi
and Domenica Ventitelli - when Chrisenz died, Domenica married again to Sicondi di Blagido.

Chrisenz and Domenica had 3 children Virginia Capaldi,
Guiseppe Capaldi , and Pasquale Capaldi (My nan's father).

Pasquale Capaldi born 1868 and her mother was Angelina Pinchera (she thinks they married when Angelina was just 14) and they had the following children (the first 3 boys did not survive)
