	If it is, order the birth certificate, that will tell you the names of both his parents, and his mother's maiden name. Then you can work backwards. The certificate will cost you £7 from GRO (General Records Office). It is the only way to be sure that you have the correct names. You could also find his father's name by getting your father's marriage certificate. sylvia

	it would be nice if andrew did reply .......... and confirmed that we are finding his family!! After all, the surname Bullock was only the result of a good piece of searching without clues by Barbara! sylvia
