Thanks this is great - I have a lot of above but this, presumably the children of Richard and Margaret ie my Thomas and his siblings, is new. |

Hi, now I'm studying the data sent to me more carefully there is something not making sense - if Richard Armstrong and Margaeret Manley were married in 1806 then the above children (Daniel, Thomas Catherine, John and Mary Manly) should be hers but in the 1861 census when she is living with Thomas and Eleanor she is described as Stepmother. Could this be that this Margaret Armstrong and Margaret Manley are not the same. |

"Stepmother" in 1861 is a mistranscription (as is the place name, which I alerted you to) - you must allow for those at all times, particularly with Ancestry. |

Hi again - do you think Thomas b1817 had another sibling called Elizabeth who married Joseph Boyer - I spotted her in another tree on Ancestry |

Try contacting the tree owner on Ancestry - he or she may know. |

There was another child Elizabeth She was born in Winchester, Hampshire - different from others because father Richard was in Military and "on his way home" when birth occurred and yes there was a military base in Winchester at that time. Elizabeth married Joseph Boyer and like my Thomas en ded up in Salford |
