Hi all,
Thank you for the help. Without going into too many details the family history is very complicated. Some were placed into care, some taken in by close friends and eventually split up and lost touch. The true tale was s quite haunting and sad. But Thankyou for your help

Assuming the 2018 death of Veronica Harris is the correct one, I'm sorry we couldn't find a happier result for your father-in-law.

I wonder if your father in law would consider doing a DNA test with a company like Ancestry ( it has the biggest number of users) in the hope that someone else has gone down that line. You can be the ‘manager’ of his test.
