Nearly all of Hubbies family are from just across the river, hence the reason for London this year :-D

UzziAndHerDogs Report 12 Apr 2016 08:01

It´s getting closer now, so I am thinking what is going to go in my case ??

orders please for smokes and booze. As I need to fit in some clothes I have to limit the bottles to 6 may push 7 ltrs. remember 1ltr = 1kg. I can only bring if I can find in plastic bottles
Smokes are about the same price as last year I believe, they aren´t weighty just bulky so 800 is my limit.

Orders by PM, that way you will get acknowledged and be sure that I have seen your request :-D

Bob, It probably does but they all seem to be ex-smokers these days :-D and luckily for this lot I only charge them what it costs me :-D

Tenerife Sun

Tenerife Sun Report 19 Apr 2016 13:25

Check Supermarket prices in UK for drink, I took a bottle of Baileys from Tenerife to England and it was a fraction cheaper on offer in Sainsburys! As Uzzi says its heavy to carry.

UzziAndHerDogs

UzziAndHerDogs Report 19 Apr 2016 13:52

Cheers Tenerife
I only do plastic bottles and last year the vodka was much cheaper than even the supermarkets, not priced it yet this year, Baileys and stuff like that don´t give a great saving buying from here either.

PatinCyprus

PatinCyprus Report 19 Apr 2016 14:26

Bombay Sapphire gin is a good 1 as it's quite expensive in UK. It's 16-17 euros here.

It's usually over £20 in UK instead of about £14.00 here.

Have a friend who always takes a couple of bottles back to UK with her. :-D

Edit it is a litre bottle when you buy it here.

AnninGlos Report 20 Apr 2016 08:16

Occasionally Gordon's is marginally cheaper sometimes but the best is maybe amaretto and toffee Vodka if you can get it in plastic, which you can't always.
