So I wonder whatever happened to those sayings about showing off :-( pity some of them didn't remain as, personally, I find many of this generation can be somewhat loud and self centred with their "me, me, me" attitude.
But I guess my opinion comes from deep rooted memories of the times I 'was caught' looking at myself in the mirror and told "now, now, it doesn't do to be vain". Or sometimes I got "I don't know what you're so concerned about, nobody's going to be specially looking at you".
Charming! :-(
