Hi all, is anyone free to search the records for me please?
I'm looking for Edwin Scorey who married Ada Stagg June 1911 - South Stoneham.
I have found a possible birth record for Ada Stagg - born 1883 - South Stoneham but having trouble finding anything for Edwin Scorey.

I'm really trying to find Edwin's parents and his birth.
I can only see that Edwin and Ada had one child - Olive M Scorey - 1914 South Stoneham

Do you know if there is anyway I can find out if William Scorey or indeed Edwin/Edward Scorey ws related to Walter Alexander Scorey 1857 - 1908 who married a Beatrice S Dyer 1858 - 1927. I have details of some of their children Charles J Scorey 1882, Arabella A Scorey 1884, Agnes E W Scorey 1890, Ellen E Scorey 1896, Harry L Scorey 1898 and Edward A T Scorey 1900. All born in Southampton.

He volunteered in 1914 drafted to India the following January. He was engaged in important garrison duties until August 1918 in which month he was sent to Hong Kong. After the Armistice he went with the army of occupation to Constantinople and was still serving there in 1920. He holds the General Service and Victory Medals.


(There is also an Ernest Scorey born in 1878 Southampton, so above may relate to him, so this would need checking out further)

In 1911 Ernest Scorey was living with his father (Cecil Scorey - Retired Publican) at:-
45 Millbrook Road, Southampton
He was single and occupation is noted as Jockey.
