Hello Margaret. I'll keep a note of the names, at some point they may link. The 1886 census gives the family as John, Emma, Alfred, Emily, Kate and Alice. They were still in the Salford area then. |

Hello Margaret. The musical sounds interesting, I'll do some research and see what I find. |

Hello. Does anyone have a link to Bessie Lavington who was a staff member on the Titanic? She was a survivor. There's a Titanic Museum in Halifax, Canada. When we visited we spotted Bessie's name on the wall. The darker names were those who lost their lives and the brighter names were the survivors. I believe Bessie's family home was a farm in the Winchester area. I'd like to find out if there was any link to our family tree. Our family listed in the 1901 cenus were named as Alfred, Emma, Oliver, Stanley, Wilfred, all Lavingtons and Martha Harler a sister-in-law who was living with them. They lived at 14 Brass Works Road and Wilfred the father was a brass worker. They lived in the Salford area of Bristol. Would also love to hear if anyone has any connection with these family members. |
