Hi, I am looking for my grandmother Sarah Ellen Davies and her relatives. I now know she was born in Conway North Wales.between January & March 1902. She died on 1st June 1958 at 56 years of age. She married Albert Edward Evans in 1926 and they had 4 children. My mum Margaret Sarah, Albert Edward, Sydney & Dennis. I would really love some help on this one as Davies & Evans are such common names that it is hard on your own. They lived in Abergavenny South Wales. |

Yes I am. He was my grandad and he lived in Abergavenny. I was born there too. Pop was the window cleaner there.I have recently found out his parents lived in Aber too but married in Manchester. Unfortunatly I still don't know their names. I have ordered Pops marriage certificate so then I will know. Pop was also a lay preacher and we all belonged to the Methodist in the early years then the Salvation Army. |

Thank you both. It does go beyond the imagination doesn't it. I have not sent off for the birth certificate as yet. Being in Australia it would take a few weeks to get it. |

Hi, In the 1911 census you have found for me there is Hugh Jones 1883 & he appears to be married to Sarah Jones 1879. Can you find the marriage certificate for me. 1861 census has William Davies 63, Elizabeth 62, Evan Son 21, William 11, Elizabeth 23 Sarah Jones daughter 25, John Jones Son-in-law 25, Frederick Jones grandson 1 month & Sarah Jones granddaughter 1. Hi, Further to my requests I cannot find John Davies & Catherine ? marriage certificate. Catherine was born about 1845 & John was born about 1851. Their first child was born in 1879. They all came from St Asaph/Llandudno Wales. Is it possible to find a birth certificate for them both too? Being Davies in Wales makes it so hard without you. |

I have only recently found out that Sarah Ellen did not have a sister Kitty. She was her sister-in-law. It seems she had a brother Peter who married Catherine (Kitty) and they had two daughters that I know of. They were Gwen & Beatrice. |

Hi Christine, I am also curious what a Bathing Machine Proprietress is, so I have just looked it up. It is a Beach Hut that they could hire to change into there swimming costumes. In the 1890's they were on wheels. |
