Hi Diane ~~

No he wouldn't fall for that one hun.
They say you tend to pick your hubby who's similar to your father..if he's a loving dad....mine is exactly the same.
My first dog died when I was 9 or 10, it was snowy day and a dog turned up at our house, sheepdog collie type..beautiful. I wanted to keep her but dad was having none of it. He said she'd wondered off and would find her way home. She was very well fed so wasn't a stray, she was just sheltering.End of !!
Saying that my next dog was a wanderer ,he'd scale the walks to get out of the garden..he always came home..until the fateful time he got knocked down and killed on a 3 lane road, he was about 10 also..randy little so and so. Many times I used to go out looking for him ,if he wouldn't come when I whistled.I was a tomboy and could/ still can with my fingers and it is very high pitched. When I was about 17 I had a Honda 90 motor bike, Trix had gone awole. couldn't see him across the valley, didn't come back when I whistled, so I went to look for him,on the bike., knew his favourite haunts... found him about 3miles away.. carried him home on my lap.. rather dangerous. His last wandering wast just that :-| :-|
Had 2 more since then, one from a litter from a stray in some ones garden.
I got married and he stayed at home with my parents, but he was a psychico ( Sp) and for my dad's sake I had to him put to sleep. Dad didn't tell me at first but he had bitten him.
When mum died I took dad to the dog rescue and he picked Sandy, they thought he was about 2, we had him for the last 4 or 5 yrs of his life as dad couldn't walk him. He would have been about 18 when we had to put him to sleep, it would have been cruel for him, he was screeching at night.
Vet said they could give him tablets, but it wouldn't have be fair on him.
His quality of life had gone.
My life of dogs........!!!
