Please could some-one look up this for me,it is on premium m/ship on Ancestry.....but its one i havent got so sorry...

I'm not seeing it so far.
There are some records for S Hall of Royal Artillery - no DOB to confirm if it's him or not - but I assume from your post that you've seen it under either SM or his full name.

I can see it's on FindMyPast - but I don't have a sub for FMP.

Try an internet search for The Gazette 22 Mar 1945

There are several pdf results, one of which may list S M Hall. It probably won't give any additional details than Mentioned in Dispatches.

Thanks detective, for the link ill try fill it in and wait for mail i suppose, i just wish it was a little easier but then all my family look ups are not that lol. As for looking up the gazette, i just did that and youre right it just gave names and if they died or how. but still good to print off for me i guess :-)
