I am trying to find out if my great grandmother had any children to her first husband james king who died in 1916 his fathers name was david king.,they married on xmas day 1906 ,alice susanah gooch had already got one daughter before she married james king ,her name was Emily Dorothy may gooch ,any help appreciated :-) :-)

Did James die as a result of fighting in WW1

If not then this should really be on Find Ancestors Board

On the image her surname has been written as Gooch and then rubbed out and King written instead.

I can't find any King births after 1911 with mother's maiden name Gooch.

yes kath thankyou it is his death ,Dorothy may was not his child tho she was born to alice suasanah gooch in 1904 father unknown ,she took his name when alice married in 1906-7 I was hoping there would have been a child between them ,thankyou x

As the Walsingham birth has been ruled out, its probable that they didn't have any children together.

I have found the birth of walter 1916 so possibly james never saw his son ,but im 99% sure he is my great grandmother son as a walter was spoken about many yrs ago ,so thankyou guys for all your help xx

TBH, he is probably the son of Helen M Gooch and Walter W King. They could be relatives of yours, but Walter 1916 is unlikely to be your grt grandmother's son
