I have tried going to the local state and national libraries route no searches being done (ask the library)

The last record I have found is the death of the father in 1972 Woomera

Think it’s limited because Australia has strict privacy laws

Some are on ancestry but only if you have worldwide subs

On Ancestry at least, Australian ERs only go up to 1980.


Jenkinson is the family name Ian's looking for:

Per that thread:
"The wife of John Jenkinson [ the man who died 1972 ] was Joan FLITCROFT b1935 they married in 1954 in Carlisle, England not found her death yet in Australia"

Are you able to post John Jenkinson's children's names, Ian ? - no other detail if they're still living.

Latest ER's South Australia on Ancestry appear to be 1951 (but even then look incomplete). As said on previous thread, the records don't appear to be as up to date as other states (others 1980)

has incoming passenger list for SS Castel Felice arriving at Fremantle from the UK on 1 Aug 1964 ex Southampton

791 Jenkinson John H
This family was to disembark at Melbourne

The Ryerson index has several death notices listed for Joan Jenkinson but all can be discounted looking at Electoral rolls.

The 1977 Electoral Roll also has David William Jenkinson
at the same address as Joan at Raymond Terrace

1977 Electoral has this lady at Block 97 Red Cliffs
