This is the only child I can see - this is from the GRO site, but it's also on FreeBMD:

Unfortunately there are lots of marriages for women named Margaret Holdsworth, with and without the middle initial E, so it's impossible to know which, if any, might be hers.

Re her brother John -

this is the only Benson/Gillie marriage I can see in Gateshead:

I don't see the births of any French/Benson children.

Catherine and Mary may still be alive - or if they have died, their deaths haven't been picked up by the 1939 register people - but their names are too common to be certain if any marriages or deaths are theirs.

PM from Michael, confirming that he's looking for living descendants of John .

As well as hoping to establish contact, Michael and Margaret's grand-daughter are hoping that one of them might have a photo of Margaret, perhaps from Margaret's wedding which John attended.

Contact with Margaret's family was lost inadvertently many years ago.

I have PMd vaguely possible addresses for John's daughter Agnes's children, but without a lot of confidence .

Have also provided Michael with details of other siblings of Margaret and John, in case he didn't know about them. But perhaps he's followed them up already.
