But does the Gannon mmm necessarily mean a subsequent adoption?
I have a case where a widow married a brother of her late husband. And then more children were born. So half brothers/sisters to her older children.

Search Ancestry for Gannon with mmm Gannon and Leeds produced four in the early 60's. Plus one in 1952.
