Find Living Relatives

Hi guys,

Ive tried this before with limited success.

I'm searching for relatives from my fathers side of my family. Unfortunately he died when I was 3 and I know very little about him.
There was a genetic eye problem within the family, retenablastoma which my father had (he had one eye) and apparently his mother did as well. Im lucky I guess.

I'd love to know who my father actually was and anything about my family.

Hi, what happened was that I placed the add and waited but there was no replies. I came back to the site sometime after and there was replies but I struggled to get in contact... Maybe they came away from the site also.

If you have previously tried to make contact with no response then it’s likely they had changed emails Addresses or just didn’t want any contact

I am astounded... Thank you so much.

I hadn't a clue how to go about getting this kind of info and was stumped at finding anything other than my Grandmothers maiden name.
My father, Winston passed away when I was 3 and my Mother basically told me nothing about him... I was in contact with a cousin but that went nowhere.
Ive got something really good to go on now, I really appreciate this.

Freebmd is a free site and you can find lots of info on there

For instance your birth would shows your mums maiden name
Your dads death that shows his date of birth

And by cross ref surnames you can usually pick up marriages

You do need to buy certificates along the way to make sure you are following the right lines
