She could have gone back to Kent/mother Helena to give birth.

There are children born in Dartford Kent BUT there must be another Thomas/Turnbull marriage cos the births are ranged between 1947 to 1959 but cos of the names ( a single first, then 3, then just 2 ) it is possible the 2 names ones from 1957 may be a possible.

I copied & posted the above direct to Michelle ( opened ) & I received no response either ? despite having her respond direct 3 times before ?


It seems the reason for the late baptism, is they baptised her new-born brother John at the same time.

As advised, Michelle to get it truly solved, is to buy the marriage certificate & see if it states her dad is John Archibald Turnbull & her DOB 19/11/1920

PLUS buy the death certificate, as this sadly, may be handy for genetic medical history.


Perhaps she & her mother are so sad that Violet died so young ?

I'm surprised that Michelle hasn't responded. I sent her a pm yesterday which was opened yesterday.

Michelle, I thought you'd be fascinated by the fact that Violer Maud was born in Gourock, Scotland but not baptised until 5 years later in Montreal, Canada. She lived in Montreal for quite a few years returning to England with mother & siblings. Did father die or was it a marriage break-up?

I really think you should contact Gordon who has her in his tree with place of birth as Gourock. Sounds like he might know more.

Can't find a baptism of Hilda Dorothy in Montreal. Curious that Violet was born in Scotland but baptised in Montreal 5 years later!

Found a death for John in 1992 so all of Violet's siblings are now dead.

Nearest relative at home was wife Mrs. Helen Turnbull, 105 Albert Rd., Gourock.

But, but, but Violet was born 1920! Born in Scotland, maybe but baptised in Montreal? But then can't find her arrival in Canada?

As mentioned Lilian had a couple of children and it looks like the daughter married moved to the south coast can see her on the ER till about 2004 with a daughter maybe she married again ?
