Ouch!! Yes it will be OK, lots and lots worse off than me and I know it. Only got to spend an hour on here to know how lucky I am. (*whispers still a bit scared though). |

Ann, that's me, fairly common! I think, from what the doctors and consultants have said they are usually a good deal smaller than my 'patch' to remove. But he seems to think he can do it and he is a top facial cancer specialist and plastic surgeon (no it is not on my face, seems that doesn't matter, it means he should do a neat job!) |

I was actually relieved to get the envelope this morning but will certainly be glad when it is all over. The whole thing is so traumatic for somebody who doesn't 'do' hospital! the car park is a nightmare, will we be able to park at mid-day, where is the day surgery unit? how long will I be in there? I am sure it will all go OK when the time comes but I am such a worrier over detail! |

Hi Ann - seems rodent ulcers are fairly common - have heard of so many people having them removed with no problems whatsoever! |

Good luck,Ann.I'm sure you will be glad when it's all over, but I don't think you have to worry too much. It's the waiting that is the worst! |

Some of you may remember I had an appointment on 27th November re the rodent ulcer I have and was told 6-8 weeks before the op. well I have my hospital appointment, 26th February 12 o'clock. I can have a light breakfast of toast and a drink and a drink of water in the morning. Only problem now is finding out where in the huge hospital the day surgery unit is as they didn't enclose the directions as the letter said they would (why am I not surprised?) will have to phone up now and ask for directions! |
