bet you are exhausted now. not going to take iron if it makes you enjoy polishing!

I think in future we should just respond to the posts that we want to and not try to remember all the names (except carole and she is a goody goody!) The danger with putting all the names is that we miss somebody so i will stick to saying Hi everyone.
There are so many people on here now. but I will say Hi Eleanor, you will get a lot of help on here.

Jennifer so glad you could post and tell us about your problem, have you any idea whats causing your depression? Might sound a silly question but it can help if you know why it started.
I can't add any more than what's already been said, except, keep on the thread and talk to us, we will not let you go downhill any more.

Nice to see you are still with us Gill. My hospital appointment went brilliantly, it was a long day as usual but doctor told me the cancer is shrinking, she measures the lumps and has them all written down. I am still on the same chemo but a slightly reduced dose, doctor hopes it won't affect hands and feet this time, not as much as me though.Yeeaa it's going!!!

I'm with Deanna, I'm completely gone this morning with names, put it down to my high yesterday, in fact I think I still am.

I'm having a good day here. The sun is shinning and I am polishing, and all the windows are open.... I'm not able to hoover but I have the carpet sweeper out.... oh boy am I a good girl today???

Hi Carole. I am currently on 50mg of Citalopram a day due to depression and anxiety attacks. Not been able to work for 2 years which is annoying as i've only just finished university and am only 23. What do you find helps with your anxiety attacks? :@) Big Hugz!

Jennifer, welcome tot he site and to the thread. I fortunately don't suffer with depression but there are several on here feeling as you do so I know you will get moral support and help. please re- visit your doctor if you don't feel the medication is working.. You re fortunate in that your family and friends understand you so many don't from what I have seen. Depression is like any illness, you need time to get over it, with the right medication I am sure you will beat it.

Kathy, well done for getting things done in town. thank you for what you said about me, I try to keep the spirits up, knowing how fortunate I am not to suffer with depression but having seen the effects of it in family and friends.

Carole, it was the first time I had been in to town on the bus on my own since the op. I was a bit apprehensive as i have relied on my OH so much in the past 4 weeks, but i was fine, tired and sore from wearing a bra for a long time, but fine.

YCaz, saw your other thread and posted on it. glad all went well at the hospital.

Jennfer I'm so pleased you have joined us on here.
We will all talk to you and do our best to help you through. If you have read any of this thread it is plain to see how some came on here feeling like you, and within a couple of months are now helping others.
Tell us as much or as little as you feel comfortable, there will be others with the exact same feelings! Some know why they have depression others don't.
There are others here who have tried to take their own lives I know they will soon see you here and talk to you. Keep looking in and please stay with us
You are lucky you have such understanding from your family and friends, don't be affraid to let them carry you through this it will come to an end and you will be able to look back and see how wrong you were to think about ending this life here with all the people who care about you. xxx

Elaine I was taking diazapam at the same time I started citalopram so didn't notice anything with citalopram. But when I stopped the diazapam I started to feel less dizzy confused and sleepy.

Hi Jennifer - welcome to the thread - you are among like minded people and I speak as someone who took a massive overdose about twelve years ago now - really meant never to wake up ever again - fortunately I did and am now on Venlafaxine for clinical depression - I have to take these tablets for the rest of my life, but so what - I'm fine now. Go back to your GP and say how you are feeling - have you seen a psychiatrist? If not ask for an urgent referral - but would be surprised if your GP has not already done that - come back on here to talk any time and you can always pm me if you wish to have a talk off the boards - we all understand on here, believe me!!!

i'm new to this site & have just been having a look around. came across this & couldn't believe how many people felt the same way i do. i took an overdose in january & again last month. i've been signed off work for the past 6 weeks. i'm going back to my doctors tomorrow as i don't feel my medication is working.in the last couple of weeks i just feel as though i'm going downhill even more. my family & husband are amazing as are my friends, but i just can't seem to see any way of stoppimg myself feeling like this. i'm so scared that i'm going to do it again.

I did well today went in to town and did the things I needed to do . Not bad that it had taken me all week till wednesday to do it but at last I did it .

hi elaine i felt like i was confused at first then after a couple of days i was ok just remember hun your not well and it may not be the tablets that is making you feel like you do but the stress and the panic carry on taking them hun but if your worried at all phone your gp and ask to talk to him or her (((((hugs)))))

I started taking citalopram about three years ago, I can't remember what I felt like then, I was in a bit of a state, about November last year I had yjis brilliant idea to come off them, what a stupid person I was, It was awful, would not advise anyone to try that !
