Kerry, well done for taking the iron tablet, I know it was a big step for you. here's hoping you will soon feel as 'perky' as Deanna.

Gill, Glad you have your counselling session booked. That is the same date as my hospital follow up when they will tell me whether the rodent ulcer was just that or something more sinister! And you postw here you like love. we will all be right behind you all the time.

Caz, sorry you aren't feeling so good, hope the headache soon goes.

As Kerry said Carole 'ouch!'. I have strong but brittle nails and they often break below the quick. Can you not very gently snip at it until it comes off then grit your teeth and file it so it doesn't catch? Or, cover it with a plaster so it doesn't catch. (See if you can find Hayley, she can teach you to have a hissy fit like she does when she breaks a nail!)

Kerry and Gill you posted while I was writing, I'm slow today. Really pleased to hear you have taken your tablet Kerry, won't be long before you start to feel a lot better.

Gill go for it, I have seen you on other threads telling people to just ignore the trouble makers. There is no reason why you should not post if it interests you, just do what you told others to do , proud of you for being strong enough to do it.

Morning all, not very nice here either, cold and wet.
Welcome to our thread Trish, you will get a lot of understanding here and someone to listen anytime you want. Friends can't really help as they don't know how bad depression is or indeed what it is, even now on my tablets I want to tell people to shut up and leave me alone. That is why this thread is such a blessing, no-one cares what we say, we just listen and try to help.

Jennifer, that doctor wasn't very understanding was he, I would wait and see your own doctor, I don't agree with the one yesterday, everybody on here will tell you they feel better by taking their tablets so they must work. Once you get the right dosage for you, you will be able to start thinking straight, at the moment you will feel all messed up in your head. Keep letting us know how you are.

Hope you are feeling a bit better today Eleanor, the tablets will soon start to work, keep taking them won't you love.

Not feeling so good today so going to rest, feet hurt again and I have a splitting headache. Maybe see you all later

Love and hugs to the rest of you all.

Morning all

No sunshine today, rain and windy instead.

I am still all at sea with how I feel Carole, I just decided the other day I will post where I want and try to be like most of the others - hate being left out when I have something to say.

Finally got date for the 1st counselling session 25th April.

Hope everyone is well or at least a little better than yesterday.

Take care
Gill

Hi All, not a very nice day today, wet and windy. jennifer, glad the site has helped you already. trish, I am sure you will find a lot of help here with many people suffering the same illness as you.
Carole, no, I suffered no ill effect from going into town. tiny spot on my wound (& I mean tiny about as big as a pin head) is still occasionally bleeding which is getting me down. Hopefully the tenerife sunshine will help it to heal.
Hope you ll have an uplifting day.

Hi Patricia from another Clinical Depression sufferer - although with my medication, Venlafaxine - I no longer suffer and feel absolutely fine, but will have to take them for the rest of my life. My GP said no problem with having to do that so I just get on with it. Venlafaxine is also called Effexor by the way. You will find everyone on this board is very helpful and will meet people who suffer from all sorts of mental illness - just remember, it is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of - it's an illness like mumps or flu, so talk about it whenever you can and try and get people to stop treating you as if you have a stigma. There is little underwstanding of any form of mental illness by non-sufferers - they need educating!!! and we hope that on this thread that is exactly what we are doing.

Keep posting, always someone here who will listen to you.

Just found this topic and so pleased I did. Today I"m having a dreadful day one of my worst in days. Yesterday was a day I broke down in front of my friends and yes they don;t understand They think they are helping but I just wish they would shut up. That may sound mean but that 's how I felt at the time. I have to say that I'm alot bett than a few months back. My depression is Clinical and will be on med. for life. the tablet I take is Celapram 2 tablets aday [I live in WA. Aust.and that is one of the brands we use here. ] When told of the condition it was explained like this, In the old days when we had cement water tanks and were filled with water , the water would seep out through the tiny cracks on the side walls and the tanks then would have to be topped up to keep it full. Like wise for us the cemicals leach and we have to top up with tablets which in turns becomes an on going thing , a life time effort.. I thought the discription was really easy to understand. Hope it helps someone. Regards, Trish.

Cor Betty, you are so clever, remembering all those responses, I am not very with it at the mo, and can't do that, so haven't replied much so as not to leave anyone out. So glad you are feeling a bit more able to cope. Hope things get even better for you. Glad M is doing ok and hope your lad is well now, and has some luck with a job.

Carole, I too send birthday greetings to your Dad.

Joyce, hope you get the bank thing sorted soon, so worrying.

To all you other lovely people, I have to say goodnight cos I am soo tired and hope you will forgive not having individual messages.
love and hugs to all
