I feel a bit of a fraud on here because i dont get enough time to read things through properly and get to know you all. Maybe its because my time is taken up with work and family, thats the reason my anxieties and worries come out in nightmares.

of course you should post Joyce, why ever not!!!!! So sorry to hear this news but look at it this way, what ever will be will be, the anaesthetist will only operate if she feels it is safe so just hang in there until Wednesday, only two sleeps to go as they say, and then you'll be on your way to the hospital with yoir mind so full of this that and the other you won't have time to be despondent hopefully - I'm sure with the advances in medical matters in the UK you will have the best outcome and we on this thread are all rooting for you every step of the way and wish you all the very best on Wednesday - please keep posting today and tomorrow until you actually leave for the hospital and see what daft things we have to say!!!! Sorry to say I am not a happy bunny right now..if you remember I told you last Wednesday that I had to see the anesthestist before a final decision was made to operate or not. I was expecting an appointment by letter but the phone rang this pm and it was his secretary telling me to be at the hospital this Wednesday at 12. I informed her I would have to check with my daughter who would take me, if she could get time off again from work..phoned my daughter who asked for the phone number to call back on and left it up to her...so am off again on Wednesday but not to A n E but to an actual acute ward where this anesthestist will be caring for his patients....am not sure who is trying to scare the sh-t out of whom, but it is truly going to be make up your mind time now.
I think time is the essence because my aneurysm has grown since my last CT scan three weeks ago, sad but true.
I shouldn't really be posting this to you all because you each have your problems and ill health to cope with but thought it only fair to let you know...
I will update you on what transpires and take it from there....

afternoon everyone kerry im glad all was ok for you ,im so mad withmyself this afternoon i realy wanted to got to town but as no one was avaliable to come with me i thought id try to go myself kept working my self up to go and still never got there just the thought of being on my own up there ,couldnt do it ill try again tomorrow its not gona win im determind to do it no matter how long it takes xxelaine xx

Deanna, Caz, Carole, Elaine and all - I am quite looking forward to the counselling but won't put on much mascara till I get out of there, must remember to take some with me as I normally don't go anywhere without mascara lol I cry buckets even if I don't mean to, it is therapeutic tho I think, just feel a bit of a twit going anywhere else with red eyes, so often sit in the car outside after, and make some phone calls till my eyes look better, add some mascara and off I go lol
Hope yours comes through soon Elaine, I have waited a long time for mine so hope it works out now she is back, well I hope she is back, and not gone sick again.
Catch you all later, have some calls to make now which I mustn't forget.

sorry that I have been awol over the weekend .We had blizzards on saturday then hailstones like golf balls yesterday .It was so bad that I took pity on bossy cat from next door and let him in .He had the cheek to use my cat's litter tray !!
Son is still here not due back to uni till the 14th.I dread him going back as I hate being on my own again .I get used to it after a few days and it takes me that time to clean his pig sty of a room !!
Can't remember who asked but he is doing electrical and electronic engineering at Herriot Watt uni in Edinburgh .
Carole we don't get paid expenses at the fhs we do get 10% off any thing we buy and half price photo copies !!! I don't mean to but I usually forget to pay for mine plus I land up with pencils that don't belong to me .
Well have to take him to the clinic so better go .The snow has all gone today other wise I wouldn't dream of driving .I live at the top of a hill and when I get to the bottom there is a very busy dual carriageway so when it is icy I just have to hope I won't skid on to it .

morning all ,carole caz gill,joyce,deanna ,eileen,jannet,kerry how did the trip go to the chrisning hope you had a nice day and to every one whos name ive missed hope you all well and had a nice weekend ,i actulay had a preatty good weekend didnt do much just relaxed and i think its done me good got up this morning feeling a little better had a letter this morning about my councling app these a waiting list but shouldnt be to long now, so i will give that a go and see if that helps me through the next hurdle thats coming our way in a few months time .whats everyone been up to over the weekend did you all like the snow xxx elaine xx

Morning ladies, hope your meetings with councellors go ok for you Liz and Carole. Getting upset is part of getting it out of your system Carole, although I do understand it will be hard at this time. I cried buckets but felt better for it later. Liz you have been unlucky with your appointments, hope they keep to them from now on.
Took me ages to get going this morning, I'm so stiff and achy, slept all night but never wake up feeling refreshed. usually fall asleep during the day.
Dave, I meant to say nice to see you back but forgot yesterday.
Hope everyone else has a good day, my brain closes down when I try to think of all the names.

Hi Carole, I couldn't get on computer all day, o.h. around tiling and if I was having fun while he was struggling with the tiling, it wouldn't have gone down well.
I am seeing my counsellor on Tuesday after the break when she went sick, so hope she is back now and it goes ok. Good luck with your psychologist on Weds. Hope your poor Dad continues to look better each time you visit.

Hope all you folk playing in the snow, enjoyed yourselves and didn't get too cold. Not my idea of fun, I hate the snow and being wet and cold.

I have been so busy! Spent most of yesterday with Mum visiting Dad. He did look a lot better yesterday, and was sat in his wheelchair awake!! We stayed later to see what he was eating. Not much! He is
all bruised on his paralised arm and now Mum thinks it's from when their doctor tried to look at his back and rolled Dad over on his ben so all his weight was on his arm. As he is on warfrin his skin bruises very easily, now it's bleeding. Good job he is in hospital.

I'm back with phychologist Wednesday. Not looking forward to it now. I think with Dad being in hospital
I feel bad talking about my childhood and how I didn't feel loved. Also how my Mum always says she treated all the grandchildren the same, but thats not true. Ohhhh.............

Our snow did not last long, melted the minute the sun came out.

But she was 4 years old yesterday and so happy and sweet. they come in two cars, as the children have their favourites!
little girl goes with dil, and little boy goes with son...
As much as we love to see them..... I will never understand a woman over 50 actually WANTING to have a baby!! ;-0(

welcome to the thread Sharon - loads of sufferers on this thread and all helpful and caring too. I have clinical depression and have been on medication for about fifteen years now - will have to take it till I pop my clogs!! No worries there though, I'm fine if I take it so no problem.

hi iam new to this site. spoke to jules yesterday who seems absolutely lovely. Ive had anxiety and depression. started 3 years ago. much better now although still get a bit worked up sometimes. Went to waterworld with kids and husband. I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to water shutes, although i did manage to go on a couple and squealed all the way down. On the way back home went to get some petrol can you believe it a service station on motor way has no petrol, so went to go to another guess what run out of gas. So we had to pay a fee to tow us to nearest garage. We were so close only about a mile away. Hundred and twenty three pounds they charged. They told us it was standard charge for motor way and its the goverment that puts on that price. We were told if we broke down in country lane or anywhere else the garage would of only charged us there rate which was 40 quid. Anyway apart from that had a good day.

Morning gang, Hi Joyce, beat me to it this morning. We had the snow yesterday, it looked lovely but I don't like going out in it. We have blue skies and sunshine this morning, all the birds are singing and not a breath of wind. Not like yesterday, it was horrible.
Janet that is awful, when you use something for years and then supposedly the same thing causes you this. I used Ulay for years until my son came home from school one day,(going back years) and threw my bottle in the bin. He said they tested it on animals so I haven't to use it again, oh right then. never have. Hope you poor face is clearing up now.
Elaine I hope you have a good weekend, you deserve it.
