Hi everyone, how are we all doing? I have been out this afternoon with hubby being at home, I wanted some fresh air and different surroundings but I'm shattered now. The slightest thing tires me out but I know why now, the fm. We bumped into an old friend of mine who I hadn't seen for a few years, we have been friends for 45 years, and we started talking as if we had seen each other only yesterday. It was good but I thought my goodness her hair is pure white, of course she is 72 now, but my mind was back in the time we were in our twenties. Funny how our brain works isn't it. Eileen you were lucky with your MRI scan, they didn't give me any headphones, and yes it is noisy. My scan took an hour and a half, they gave me ear plugs but they were useless. Since you mentioned that book I can't get Boogie out of my mind and keep laughing to myself, hubby thinks I've gone daft. It's the botty coughs Boogie does after that tinned dog food and Mark having to go outside the tent, omg I'm crying trying to write this. Joyce would love it wouldn't she. Just been told my tea is ready, should have finished this ages ago but had to keep stopping. Hope you all had a good day

Mornin' all, another beautiful day today, aiming for the 70's (the weather not me). yesterday's crisis was that Colleen's washing machine has given up, oil everywhere, seems not only the seal is gone but the bottom of the "tub" is rusted. Just what we don't need . . . so i have all their laundry down here, to put through my much smaller washer. this could be an all-day job, but I have to work this afternoon. had a busy evening at work yesterday, an hour late arriving home. But I slept well. Colleen has a 4 hour exam this morning, she's had a difficult weekend, with her understandable upset over Gareth's discharge from his autism therapy, plus her self-applied pressure of studying for today's exam. Add to that, her lawyer is now suing her for a huge amount of money, she had told him she couldn't afford to go to trial over child support, he told her they could avoid it and now is charging her $8000 just for trial prep'n. He had agreed to accept a small amount monthly till she finished school and now is sueing her for the total. She has to respond in writing by today, very upset, not a good way to approach an exam, she suffers from depression also, but is unable to take any meds because she is on an anti-convulsant for her complex epilepsy and anti-depressants lower the seizure threshold, putting her at high risk. We know how hard it is to pull out of a depression even with Rx help, imagine how hard it is for her. Have to run and do some clearing, a pile in the cellar is my goal for today - before work. Group hug Mary

Liz that sounds great. not only do some of our family still live there but our ancestors did as awell way and goes way back. I remember going norwich castle when I was about 10yrs old and the tour guide putting me brother in the witches chair then walking off hes three years younger than me, and he thought they were going to leave him there. I used to love eating mushy peas and mint sauce in a tub on norwich market. And as a little girl our mum and Dad nan and grandad took us to a little place where there was a big lake lovely scenery and a pub which had entertainment called EEls Foot but we forget where abouts it is in suffolk. I would love to know and go back one time it brings back memories. Hows your tiling going are you tiling kitchen or bathroom. my Dads just tiled my nans bathroom. Nan does live with mum and Dad its next to her bedroom its just easier for nan when she gets up in the night. Hi to Elaine, hope your mri scan went ok elieen I know when I had one of them done they had a little mirror and it felt weird I thought I was having a out body experience. A bit like on my honey moon when I woke up there was mirrors on the ceiling didnt notice that the night before. Next day when youve got bad hangover. I thought i was looking down at me body. then relised mirrors, elbowed hubby he looked and went huhhh. HI to Deana and hows hubby ? Still watching your soaps like me. Mary nice to see your tomotoes and plants are doing well, and also that gareth is doing well. kathy hope your ok too. carole are you all right. And anyone else I have forgot I do appologise. love to you all God bless keep you safe shaz.

Good morning folks, xx
Well I made it through the night wrapped up in lovely fresh bedding.. a bit like getting a new jotter at school, no creases or curled edges, totally unblemished and virginal, like me..oh dear..LOL.
His lordship has arrived and licked me all over so I do not need another shower xx he is sitting by my side wondering when we are going out on our safari, he will have to wait I'm afraid unless he enjoys seeing me nabbed by the coppers, for indecent attire this time!.
I believe our Caz hit the nail on the head when she wrote of our thread being tempered by a touch of light heartedness right now..the 'once' newbies of only a few weeks are really emerging and showing a lot of confidence in themselves, magic. It must be very satisfying to the initial founders of this thread, mainly Carole T, who saw a gap early on in January, for communication between fellow sufferers, it has exceeded all expectations and is thriving, brilliant.
But congratulations are also due to each and everyone of us because having been through many situations and illnesses, we have first hand knowledge to help our less fortunate friends who are out there struggling, we are always here for you xx
Am about to shut the lounge door before the postman arrives, why.. because last Friday I saw a new side of Toby which scared the life out of me..one minute he was laying down sleeping, the next he was like a ferocious lion trying to exit the letter box, needless to say he does not like postmen... come to that neither do I, especially when they deliver bills and junk mail.xx
I will catch up with your postings during the day and update you on any escapades during our 'walkies' sessions.
Bye for now, take care

Hi all, couldn't get on today, o.h. busy with tiling, yes still lol If I had come on here while he was busy he wouldn't have been best pleased so did other stuff and cooked him a good dinner for when he finished today's quota of tiles lol
Kathy, I am ok thanks, sorry you are having trouble with sending J back lol You will have to do what I suggested, next time he comes back, take his ticket, check it for everything and keep it safe so he has no excuse. Can't believe that ticket he found wasn't valid, has he lost the money on it then? Bit of a waste if so. O.h. on nights next week, out from 5.30pm Monday and home around 6.30 am so I will try and get some early nights lol, the bed to myself will be lovely, will change the linen too lol
Kerry, I am so sorry I missed the chance to say Happy Birthday but hope you enjoyed your special day.
Betty, hope all is well with you and yours, Scott ok? and Maria's nose better now?
Sharon, can imagine you would be spitting feathers over the bil incident, what a nasty wife he must have as it sounds like she is the problem, snooty mare lol I am not far from Lowestoft, am in Norwich, so if you come this way, give me a shout and we could meet up. Will pm my number if you want it.
Joyce, you are a gem, you always make me laugh with your dog walking antics lol Well done for swearing all day and hope you don't feel too bad when you get up and Toby behaves himself. To everyone else, keep posting when you can and let's have this upbeat mood for a long time yet. The summer is coming, days are getting longer, and we can enjoy the gifts of nature, nice fruits and flowers and bright days too I hope. love and hugs to all, sorry if I haven't replied personally, my brain is as cluttered as my house lol Hi to Mary and co too, will be in touch soon I am sure.
Kathy, do you live at an address with a colour in it only I am a bit puzzled...... Lizxxx

Hi gang
We should have started a sweep stake .When will J go back to uni I dropped him at the bus stop out side somerfield to catch a bus to the rail station ( as I don't do driving into town ) did some shopping and popped into a neighbour on the way home got a call J back at home !!! According to him he could not get through the barrier with the return ticket he had ?? He said he asked a guard for help but the guy spoke to him like a 3 yr old and took his ticket away saying it was useless .Now I have not been on a train for years and when I did there were no barriers so I havent got a clue if he is telling me porkies or what . I examined the ticket he has bought for tomorrow so will he go ???? If not , anyone want a 19 yr old will post him free of charge .One careful owner partly house trained some times responds to his name but not much use for any thing else !! but I still love him !! Hope you all have a good day tomorrow. Liz - hope you are ok you have not posted for a while ?!?
love Kathy xxx

Him and his brother used to be close since he got married hes changed. We dont get christmas presents only the kids they decided that. What anoys me is he come over our way to see his mates yet cant see his own brother. Even his mum and Dad has to ask if they can come over and see the kids. My mother in law has always been there from day one with our 2 kids. Shes like a second mum to me. Her mum has ill and we go and see her we have even taken the kids all the families been. Good evening folks....
at 7am this morning I said hi! and promised to bounce back sometime during the day, well I am back but not bouncing because I have no strength left to even type xxxx
My inner mind told me that I needed exercise but without Toby that was nigh impossible, so I turned to the next best thing and did that forbidden subject, h-------k,....but then if you really knew me, and you don't really want to..I went into top gear and had a spring clean, even to the fluff under the bed and on top of the wardrobe. How many of you have checked what is out of sight up high..I found three dead spiders buried in the dust, a tooth which must have belonged to one of my grandaughters and a pair of tights?. Net curtains were taken down for washing but being so old I went online and ordered three lots of nets for different rooms, looked at duvet sets but decided I was doing a spring clean not a shopping extravaganza!!
I started this 'exercise' at 9am and finished at 4.30pm, well almost because the damned vac packed up on me just before I was finished, so out came the carpet sweeper... I don't think the house knows what's hit it but I know what's hit me... it's called fatigue..lol.
I wouldn't mind so much but you know who arrives at 6am tomorrow morning, by the time he has charged round the place in excitement, knocked over what is not stable, rooted through the waste paper basket looking for 'goodies' and tossed the cusions into the air for fun, all my endeavours will have disappeared into a puff of 'hairs', but I love him.
Him of course being Toby, who will ensure that any further exercise on my part will be taken out of doors... would it be wrong of me to pray for rain or even snow tomorrow. lol.
Am away for a shower now, cannot have a clean house and a grubby body, can I xxx
Maybe I will teach T to type then he can give his version of how he is tutoring me to walk a straight line without his help.xx
Good night all, sleep tight JoyceP xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Actually what the course told me was that I need help (or more help in the case of the pills).
Yes I know how to work with my clients but I know I cant do that without getting help for myself.
Have any of you quit a job to enable you to sort your lives out?

Hi gang, I've been reading through the threads and seems I missed some birthdays, belated Happy Birthday to Deanna and Kathy, and Happy Birthday to Kerry today. Shaz your holiday sounds great fun, hope the weather is kind to you if you're camping. Elaine I think you are coping remarkably well considering how you were when you first posted. Eileen I hope your results come back good, I hate that MRI scanner, I'm claustrophobic. The book '500 Miles Walkies' is by Mark Wallington and one of the funniest books ever, I loved Boogie. Have you read the other two 'Boogie up the River' and 'Pennine Walkies' where he takes the poor dog on the Pennine walk. Talk about laugh out loud books. One thing I have noticed since being away for a couple of days is how much lighter the thread is. Reading the posts all in one go, it comes over that the problems are still there but there is a confidence there and a sense of 'I know how to beat this now'. It's so lovely, it feels comfortable like a coffee morning with old friends. No Ann GG though, where are you Ann. I have been my usual daft self, with feeling a bit better this morning I decided to sort out the back bedroom and get rid of things no longer needed or used. I'm suffering now for it, will I never learn, it's early to bed again for me.
I'm not ignoring peeps but I can't remember all the threads, apart from laughing at Joyce, what you on Joyce, can we all have some?
