Liz, hopefully it was just a minor infection and is on the way out, but just as well to get checked out. I have a drs appt Monday afternoon to check on my blood test for sugar so fingers crossed everyone please that there is no excess.

Special thoughts to Angela and her partner, I hope he has a peaceful passing when his time comes and she has lots of people around her to support and comfort her through this sad time.
She has done her best by him, giving him company and love during his dark times and I hope that gives her comfort too.

YCaz, hope your pain eases - take care and all who are in pain and suffering, my thoughts are with you and big hugs to you.

My wee problem (no I am not Scottish!) seems easier today, cross your fingers it is going away,altho I am intending to get thoroughly checked out at the docs. I can't afford all these tena thingies lol and I want to be able to enjoy my three days of freedom next week, not feel rough all the time.

Just a short post adding my thoughts for Angela and her man. Hopefully his pain is controlled, I know he was on morphia. these times are sometimes worse for the partner than the one who is ill. Bless you both Angela you are in our thoughts.

I will think of poor Angela today and hope she can remember today as the end of her partner's suffering rather than the beginning of her grief.
Carole,has your dad had a stroke?Sorry,I don't keep up with these threads.If he has Ican tell you that sitting up in his chair andlookingsmart is the beginning of your problems.
You may have seen from another thread that my dad has had a stroke and I won't look after him.I have made him do it himself since he came out of hospital having lost his speech and the use of his right side.
He has now progressed from a chair where I had to push him out to the sink to do the washing up through an electric chair that should never have been taken outside the front gate.Of course he was roaring up and down the pavement in that.Now he has one that he can use on the road but he is not supposed to go out on his own so now I am chasing all over the village to find him.So how do you ground an eighty-eight year old?
It is a worry but really I am glad he is setting himself new challenges.and not mouldering away in bed watching television.
Well I do hope everyone will feel much better with the summer coming on.I think I will just have to watch out thatthe old man isn't packing himself some sandwiches or I will never know where he is.

Hi all, I have a message from Angela to pass on.
Her oh was taken into hospital at 4am yesterday morning, he is not very good and wasn't expected to get through the night. He is still with us this morning but as you can imagine Angela has her hands full so can't post for a while.
She needs our support more than ever now.
Thinking of you Angela and sending love and hugs for you.

Hi Betty, thanks for those thoughts, didn't hear from either of my brothers, never do, as if my parent's didn't exist, you would think they would just ring or something to acknowledge the day. I got fed up of doing it all the time.
Garden hasn't had much attention this week, haven't felt great as I have a uti or something, see my thread which I will put up in a mo.
Hope your clematis and your bright green shrub lol does well, Carole.
Oh and Ann, glad to see you back, I must have talked you up cos I asked Ann if she had seen you or knew how you were!

Caroline, glad your news was good, you must feel so pleased, and now you are doing the bedroom for your granddaughter you can throw yourself into it happily (don't mean literally lol, watch the paint!)

Daughter and I went to see my parents today. They are settled again after Dad coming home from hospital. Mum looks more relaxed. Dad looked smart sat in his wheel chair. Told me Mum bought four pair of shoes while he was in hospital!! I knew I helped her pick them !! pmsl

Hello everyone,

Felt pretty good last night but had the usual mood plummet today.

I will attack the paperwork tomorrow, I have no choice cos the proverbial is about to hit the fan. I officially will have no employment from next Friday. I am not going to bore everyone with the implications of being off work since the New Year and with no prospect of returning for the foreseeable future but I am sure you will get the gist.

I sympathise with those who don't like their appearance for whatever reason, I think that basically is prompted by the depression. We can all cope with much more when not depressed. Doesn't matter how 'clever' I am with my makeup I still have a hatchet face :-((( Bet you are laughing now :-)))

Going to talk with OH next week when I have gone through the accounts to let him know what the position is. He isn't going to be happy. He works so hard and worries about my health, he could do without that too but I can't carry the burden by myself any longer.

Sorry the above sounds really self pitying.
