I am absolutely terrified of Tunnels and Bridges. Will avoid them if I possibly can. If I have to go on a bridge or in a tunnel I can't breathe properly. Always glad when I'm at the other end.
Another thing I am terrified of is travelling along a road with a steep edge at the side of it.
OH and I went on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria Australia a few years ago and although it was absolutely beautiful scenery I was a nervous wreck traveling along the road with steep inclines leading to the ocean.

Would love to know what terrifies you all.

Regards
Jackie

Jackie and Daff, don't come to Madeira. We are full of tunnels and bridges and have plenty of narrow, winding roads with unprotected steep drops!! And not only that, your plane has to land on an aircraft carrier.

Nothing terrifies me, but I don't like using matches, lighters etc. Gas hob lights automatically, but we do get lots of power cuts, and I won't change the gas bottle.

Thanks Everyone
Very interesting all your fears.
I forgot about Snakes I am also terrified of them I curl my legs up if I see one on TV.
Hubby had to kill one in the garage one day and you couldn't see me for dust.
My eldest son stood on a snake when he was younger, luckily he stood on it's head and it just slithered away. He came in as white as a ghost.
Thanks everyone

Jackie

I'm a tunnel engineer, so no problem there!
I avoid if at all possible:
Climbing ladders or vertical rockfaces (OK looking down from buildings like the CN Tower in Toronto)
Swimming (but OK in boats)
Wasps (bees are fine)
Bungee jumping (I haven't even tried)
Major operations (I've only had minor ones).
