I would never have thought of wallpapering them !! What a brill idea.

However I live in a newish style house so my walls are painted. However, I suppose I could get a flat wallpaper with no pattern and give it a whirl. I'll keep that in mind if this slat mangles up in the wash ta lol xx

OK well if the washing doesn't work and you don't like the peep hole idea, swap the worst downstairs ones for some at the upstairs (back) of the house. Not best idea but might do until you can get new ones.

Yep that was my thoughts hon - hence the blase attitude with the washing machine. You know me - I won't clean if I can get an appliance to do it for me lol xx

Ooooooooo it's out of the machine.

Slightly creased but not mangled.

Going to hang it up overnight then iron and starch it.

It definately hasn't shrunk though so that's a result !! xx

What are they like today? Muffy my guinea pig?
BTW I've only done the blinds once in the bath, am not that house proud and have a vast capacity for ignoring jobs which should be done.

Hiya Hon

Out of 36 slats only 4 need starching and ironing.

If they have stitching rather than glue I'd say go for it - but do a test one first just to be sure xx

I have a few spare slats they gave me at the time i got them. I'll try it when I can't live with them any more - another 3 or 4 years should do it! There's a good reason I got cream!

Interesting,as I've only chanced scrubbing them flat in the bath, and hanging them when rinsed over the bath and they have come up like new.
OH also did some bedroom ones when I was in Oz and he decorated the room, and they are fine, but am a bit reluctant to put them in machine.
