Right .........is there a little screw on the plastic bit that goes from the bull cock to the cystine...if so turn it till the bullcock is higher ......
the screww will be to the right of the orange ball

Press the ball down and it will let water in at THAT point they may be a little screw...often white .....

will check back later

Thanks to all off you.

the ballcock on the arm, other end is attached near where the water comes in. It has an adjustable nut and so have adjusted like you said but still the same? Feel like going all Hulk on it and ripping it off the wall!!

My dad said he will look at it when he has chance.

Inside the bit that is attached to the arm there is a washer that .....looks like ...a condom!!! cost 26p last time I got one !!!!!
It could be that that has gone ....dont worry ...as long as you have an overflow pipe ...it will be OK for ages yet ..........just a dripping sound!!!

WOOOOOAAAHHHH!!!! mine does exactly the same...slowly drains a little water til ball is low enuff to make it flush again...and when i had a look...theres a rubber bung covers the hole in the bottom of cistern..(where the water goes into the bowl)...seems its not sitting on the hole right and its shrunk a tiny bit...happens when the rubber starts to dry out ( tho how the hell that happens when its sat in water i dont know!!!) anyway...try re-alligning the rubber bung see if it stops dripping....if so u might need a new bung...any good diy place sells em...dont know how much as i aint got round to buying one yet!!!

hope that helps
