May I just add that I really admire the way you acknowledge that your children have a great stepdad..................a refreshing change from all the bitterness that can happen in these circumstances.

Thanks for the update Jay. That's good about Chas, although poor Colin sounds as if things are uncertain at the moment. My heart goes out to him.
Well done you for being so supportive to both of them. (OMG, sounds a bit patronising, but you know what I mean).
