My husbands as bad as me on the pc, although he plays a game called Eve. But we'd rather be on the pc than watching tv, so it doesnt bother us.Im on the laptop so I can sit in the living room and talk to the kids and keep an eye on them.

I don't have a problem as we each have our own pcs and while I am on here he is flying aeroplanes or captaining submarines in the other 'office'.

Would just like to add here as it has been noticed that Bernard posted on more than one of my threads....

No...I certainly did NOT report his reply on the original thread......

If I had felt strongly that a comment (any comment) should be deleted I would always ask the poster by PM first.

Hi Bernie,

Saw your original comment and whilst I dislike a lot of the party you were supporting stand for I certainly would not have reported your post...but I think Rose is probably correct in saying that it would have been removed whichever political party had been promoted.- It's just not allowed

...I also don't find the debates limited, far from it.

Thankyou all for adding.....

Bernard...whilst I deplore the politics of the party you refer to...
I am sorry that you feel your right to 'free-speech' (which i believe we all have a right to ,as long as it is not enciting violence or bigotry) has been curtailed.

I saw the thread to which you refer...and have seen others which have also been removed by GR on the same subject (ie promotion of a particular political party..any party )

I personally do not find that the debates on here are 'limited' ,providing I remain aware that other's views and feelings may differ from mine, and that I should always try to bear that in mind when replying.

I recently made a comment in a GR chatrrom about how the do-gooders have taken over this country and stated that I believed that this country was now in irreversable decline. I also stated that I wanted my country back and recommended that people who are patriotic should vote for a certain political party.
Someone on this thread has complained to GR about me mentioning this party (I won't say its name because I want this comment to remain on the boards). GR have upheld the complaint and removed my comment.
As the political party is not illegal in this country I fail to see why a complaint was made or upheld. Surely if we believe in democracy we believe in free speech? It appears not: A young girl reads out the names of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan from the steps of the Cenotaph and five police vans turn up to arrest her. A man in his 80s at the Labour Party conference barracks the speaker and 4 bouncers manhandle him from the hall and he is charged under the terrorism act. Meanwhile religious fanatics can preach hatred in the media and on our streets, including demands to behead those who disagree with their religion and the law does nothing. Free speech? Don't make me laugh and now free speech is curtailed in the chatrooms of GR.

If free speech is no longer allowed then I want nothing more to do with GR chat rooms, I will not be appearing on these boards again.

To the many friends who I have swapped opinions with and joked with, I say farewell, enjoy your somewhat restricted debating chamber.

Goodbye, Bernie
