Let her drink plently, but make sure she cuts back a little on the sweets and sugars. Don't give her any fizzy drinks as they are almost pure sugar.

Also, is she tired or unusually sweaty?

perhaps get in touch with nhs24 if concerned.
you do not say if she has any other symptoms.

My grandson is permanantly thirsty...............we tried giving just plain water and still he drinks a lot.

He has had his urine tested for sugar, but everything is fine.................he's just a thirsty little boy.

Worth asking the doctor though, in case there's a problem.

LIke the others have said, get her urine tested for sugars, and if there is any doubt, ask for a blood test as well.

Hi Carole, My grandson was like this when he was 8 yrs old no other symptoms just constantly thirsty, he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Hope this is not what is wrong , but to be sure you must have her tested as soon as possible
((((((((((hugs)))))))))) and positive thoughts that she is okay

It will also check her sugar levels, and her kidney function. A blood test is more certain than a urine test for glocose.

Blood tests will eliminate any serious conditions to save any worries., as urine tests can be misleading.Doctors will never say you're being too fussy so don't worry

You shouldn't have to, you should only need to ask. Your doc might just take the urine test first and take it from there.
