so glad to hear you came up with an excellent solution - wish I was coming with you - had my honeymoon in Jersey - if it's The Merton where you're staying, that's the one we stayed at - have a great time and let's know how you got on when you get back Love Ann XX

excuse me for poking my nose in... but isnt every thing relative.... fred,,, in my opinion,,, do what you hear and life tells you to do... but at the end of it all remember what you shared with your loved one. Remember and celebrate what you loved together and do that again to honour the one you loved.... live it again, for their memory and yours,,,,, just remember, especially if it brings the good times back for you.. because it will for them too.....XXX

Hi all.

I have digested all the advice received from you all and come up with a five point plan to change my way of managing my life. This is purely based on the pointers from you lovely people:

1. Keep my misery to myself. Others have enough trouble of their own to cope with.
2. Get away for Christmas.
3. Meet with other people.
4. Don't forget about the past but live for today and the future.
5. Get my sense of humour back and start laughing again.

So what have I done with these conclusions?

I was lucky enough to have a cancellation for a short break in Jersey in a posh hotel in St. Helier. It starts tomorrow (Monday) and goes on until January 2nd.

I'm going to have a real good go at enjoying myself and it is all thanks to you all. You are wonderful people. I love you all to bits.

Downside is that I won't be able to get in touch over Christmas but I will certainly join the chat show in the new year.

Thanks a million everybody.

Have a super Christmas and a very happy and prosperous new year.

Fred
