we have told our 19 year old that she has to have "moved on" by next July.....and we help her to save her wages towards a deposit that she will need for a flat or whatever........there does comes a time when you want/need your own space back...........

I think you need to be a bit cruel to be kind....xxxx

YOU could try moving house(when shes at work) and simply forget to let her know where !! lol

Do you really think that will happen?
We'll all be sat in the home in a circle of armchairs asleep by lunchtime!

You know, the other day, she phoned my work. She hardly every phones work. So, I thought the worst - the House is on fire!!! The cat's been run over!!! Eeeeek!

When I spoke to her, she wanted to know how the washing machine worked????? She's 23, for goodness sake!!!!

Her brothers knew that when they were 10 and could cook meals. Her cook??? Never, even though she's got her 'O' Level!!!!

""""""""Boo! Hoo!"""""""" Who's going to look after me, when I old and grey????

You may end up never speaking, being denied your grandchildren and all sorts of horrible threats, but for your own peace of mind , it really is time to push her out of the nest to do grown up stuff.
You get no prizes for being too nice. Then you can get on with your life.!!
