That must be awful for you Catherine, I really feel for you.

how about ... return tickets? ;-0)

But seriously, I thought that was a lovely idea that Stray had.
A photograph of all of you together in a nice frame.

Have a lovely Christmas.

How about a video(or DVD)of your Christmas together?
We are seeing our 2nd son off to live in Oz in Jan,so spending Christmas with them and little 3 year old granddaughter,Isabel(boo hoo),so we have bought DVD's for Isabel,as they don't want anything big for her this year, and Portmeirion dinner service for them to be packed up with their chattels to take.
We already have one son and family in Oz and I always look for small things to send(like DVD's) and a few clothes, usually bought in the sales,or ends of season,as it is just right for their weather.
Hope you have a fab Christmas with them.

Have you thought about doing a "This is your life" type of photograph album. I did one for my daughter when she left home and included her partners parents in on the selection of pictures of them as children through until they left home. Worked brilliantly.

In this day and age you could do it on the web or something just as computer minded to save them taking it with them as luggage.

What about a present they can cash in when they arrive? Not sure what attractions are there but I bought a friend who emigrated to Sydney, a walk on the bridge and apparently its a memory he has kept even tho 10 years has past..... and he sent me a picture, so I have a memory too!

;o)

Hi Catherine

I haven't had any bright ideas, but it might be a good idea to rule out anything too large, heavy or breakable, as they will be limited on what they can take with them.

Mandy :)
