One little extra thing... might be insignificant... but if you have a smell, a perfume or fragrance that is special for your mum, try to wear it or have a tissue with it on when you visit her. I have found that this can make a huge difference when you are trying to evoke memory, but it has to be relevant... but not too much at a time, yeh?!!

All the very very best, Take care, and (((hugs))))

Love

Malc, so sorry to hear this news but as others said, don't give up on your Mum, I am sure you won't, just keep trying to behave normally with her and tell her things - she is still your Mum just a little bit less of her, bless her. I am sure once she is settled into somewhere good for her care, you will find it easier to cope with the situation.
Good Luck,
Lizx

Hi Malc and Jackie, so sorry to hear your news.
Strokes are such cruel things and nothing can prepare you for them or whatever outcome there is.
Not a lot of consolation but at least your Mum isn't in any pain.
Being together and planning your wedding will help too.
Thoughts for you all and a hug for Mum.

Malc, not a lot I can say other than you know where all your GR friends are when you need us. In the meanwhile remember she is still your mum and the love she has for you and what you have for her will remain forever unconditional irrespective of her illness. Take care mate. col
