I must have done really well! I lost my next-to-last tooth in 1996 when I was nearly 12 and got £1 for that. My last tooth didn't go to the tooth fairy because I had it extracted at the dentist and wanted to keep it (ironic, considering I begged him not to take it out - the injection bothered me more than the extraction). |

The going rate is definately a £1. If we take teeth out in the surgery, we give the kids a special fairy box which tells fairy to give a little more - the parents must hate us for that! |
