It's probably not the NHS, its more likely to be Serco.

Sounds ok though...no more than housekeeping really...

I'd tell them you want £75k plus perks, then they will think you are the bees knees and wont expect you to do any of the work yourself, that's what the minions are for!! That way you learn on the job!!

Whatever it is, TW, just go for it. You can do any asset wotsit standing on your head:-))) XXBC

You would be responsible for auditing, maintaining, renewing and assessing assets (physical things like computers, telephones, hospital equipment etc) and services (tasks etc).
An asset is anything that the hospital (or business) owns which has a value whereas a service is less tangible.
(There's probably a better "textbook" explanation on Google somewhere)

I don't think the "services" in the job title actually refers to services in this case. It's just part of the title (if that makes sense).

Go for it TW

The person who had a post that seems similar in acompany I worked for used to get all the managers to count (stock take!!) all things like beds, hoists, computer, in fact, anything that wasn't fixed to the floor, and in some cases even that.

We would also have to request all renewals, updated equipment etc through him and his department.

he would then breeze in every so often and check the items.. and you were in the doody if it didn't match. lol!!

A doddle for the average woman, but men seem to make heavy weather of it!!

Love
