I agree with what Sue & Susie have said.

I watched it and was cringing with embarrassment. She knew exactly what she was getting involved in when she married Macca. She cant be that skint cos her daughter goes to a Private school 1/2 a mile from me and it is veryyyyyy expensive.
I think she is one lose cannon...he must be cursing the day he ever met her...if she is not a self publicist, why did she drop in the conversation abt the charity stuff?

Grabagran Report 31 Oct 2007 17:07

Didn't see er on GMTV, but caught the end of her interview on This Morning. I still think she only married for money.

I have had personal experience of giving an interview to the local press over something that happened, but nothing i did, I hastened to add, and guess what?..............

They added all sorts to it, and I am still after 10 1/2 yrs still waiting for an apology.

So the moral of this story is,

I never believe what I read in the paper.

Sue Report 31 Oct 2007 17:03

I only saw a clip and I would have needed a bucket if I had watched anymore! I have only done charity work for 20 years (what? and took your kit off).

If you court the media you have to expect to suffer at their hands, it's always been a two edged sword!

I only give live radio interviews now, and as they only relate to business I am on safe ground. I was asked to do a broadcast about a gambling casino being located in Cardigan a few years ago - I declined that cos there was going to be a 10 minute delay (enough time for editing) I wasn't going to risk being stoned to death by the locals if my comments were broadcast out of context!

I've seen her many times in tv interviews and she comes across just as unlikeable as she does in print. Is she blaming the tv as well?

She's calling on the British public to stop reading the papers as she is being hounded like Diana was. Self importance methinks?

(makes me want to rush out and buy a copy of every newspaper I can lay my hands on!!!)

Im not the only one who witnessed this hysterical ranting on GMTV then?
I felt sorry that she has to listen to cruel remarks from other celebs about her handicap but it seems quite a lot of them have the impression that she is quite a liar, So,,,,no smoke without fire then,,

My take on it is if the papers have printed lies about you and you are fed up with the lack of privacy, then..................sue the newspaper privately and never go on national television.

I once (in the 80's) wrote a letter to a newspaper.. they phoned me and asked if I would expand, and turn it into a small article, which I did.

I was thrilled to bits, until I read the article (yes, it was printed) It had been edited and distorted beyond all recognition.. I was furious, but could do nothing about it.

I have never bought that paper again, and most of my family have swapped to a rival, those who continue to read papers, that is.

So no, I don't trust what I have read in the papers. But I have seen Heather any number of times in interviews, well before she met Paul, and there was just something that didn't sit right, ever.

I only buy a paper on a Saturday because there is a "free" TV guide. I have been subjected to a newspaper "modifying what I said". Thy did not lie in the true sense of the word, but the wording used was very ambiguous. They then put there hands on their hearts, ooppps sorry they do not have hearts, and said "Its the way you interpret the report, that's not our fault". I will never speak to a journalist ever again and I would not trust any of them as far as i could throw a grand piano.

Fame brings many rewards, money, social standing, acknowledgement...but it also has a down side......so if you don`t like the heat don`t go in the kitchen.

I dont feel any pity for her.

I'm not saying they haven't lied about her, Joy. Just as, apparently, she lied to them in the past. What goes around comes around.

I have little patience with so-called celebrities who do anything they can to get in the press and become famous then, having achieved that aim, begin to whine about privacy.

I gave up reading them after my nephew was killed the day after it was reported that a 12 week baby had been raped ....

Heather Mills - well I could not believe she stated that she had never heard of the Beatles and was not aware of his music - this was in the early days of their courtship/engagement. Where was she living - not on Planet Earth evidently.

Guinevere

I totally agree but the lies they printed about Maddie's parents are a lot worse than mere gossip about Heather Mills.
