When I was 14 I tried to kill my father with a knife - he did something so bad that he had to die. .. My Mother was too scared to do something so I had to

Call the social services, because I wasn't a boy My Dad ignored me, I spent most of my childhood in my room, I had to be in bed before he came home. He took great pleasure in humiliating me, nothing I did was good enough. When I was at art school he destroyed all my finals work the night before hand in. When I married{beneath myself} he wrote me a shitty letter cutting me off and would cross the road to avoid speaking to me.
My Mum backed him up and when I remind her of it, she responds with , well you never went hungry dear. He died when I was 20 , dont miss him , rarely think about him. I vowed never to do that to my children they are all special to me.

My dad died when I was 10, had been partly paralysed (haemiplegia sp' since I was 2 , he was only 43 when he died, (feel I might be living on borrowed time!)
he didn't really figure much in my life to be honest.

didn't know him when he was well so unfair to say that I didn't like him as I think he changed with his illness.
