I love cashews and walnuts!
I can remember when Mam had bought walnuts to make cakes, she used to tell us to hide them somewhere in the house and not say where they wre hidden, cause she would eat them all before baking day!

Oh, I spelt cashew wrong....well I've learnt summat today then. Mind you, I could have just looked at the bag! lol

The warning on the back of the bag says

Packed in a factory which uses sesame and various nut ingredients, including peanuts

Does that mean you can be allergic to some nuts and not others? Or is it as bad as the warning on the back of a bag of peanuts that says May contain nuts! lol

Hazel nuts - not Cob nuts, or anything else they sell that look a bit like Hazel nuts, it has to be the real thing - preferably straight off the tree.
Have spent the past 3 years trying to find them on trees. We see them soft and green. Go back a couple of weeks later and they've disappeared!! :o(

Im not big on nuts but dont mind the odd salted peanut. For some reason every year at Christmas I buy loads of nuts and put them in a bowl - and generally find that the cats have chased them under the furniture when I re organise the front room when the tree comes down.

What made me laugh though was buying some chopped nuts recently to go in christmas puddings. The bag said 'May Contain nuts'....... It was a bag of bl**dy chopped nuts what else would you expect......

I love walnuts and Brazil nuts and almost any nuts.

But our son has to carry an epi pen because of nut allergy so we didn't have any in the house for years.

I don't like nuts as a rule, though I do like pistachios and cashew. I love cashews in cooking.

I hate the traditional nuts like brazils, hazelnuts etc, though I will stomach the occasional walnut, but only if its in a date and walnut cake LOL

Nut's seem to get a bit of a bad press these days because of those that suffer from nut allergies. But I love nuts...in fact I'm nuts about nuts! lol

I am currently chomping my way through a bag of salted kashews and very nice they are too! What's your favourite nut?
