Kitty - if you have a burnt saucepan - put a little washing Powder/liquid in it & bring to the boil, leave to stand & stuck food floats off.

I put dried lavender heads from my garden in my hoover to scent the house while im hoovering - it dosent save the housework but at least my lavender gets used and smells nice. Dont know how good it is for Henry though...

My Grandchildren love dusting & polishing, I have got 2 new cans of polish & clean dusters ready for when they arrive tomorrow. lol

Baby wipes will get most marks off of paintwork & leather furniture.

Put on a rubber glove and get it a little damp under tap then run hand over the stairs....with said glove on obviously :)

I don't iron the sheets or duvet covers often.................if they come straight out of the machine and are dried flat over the line or airer, they are barely creased at all.

How do you get cat hairs off the stairs easily though...........missed that tip.

stick all your ironing in a black bin bag then throw it out with the rubish, you have no choice but to get new clothes and just hang them straight up so they dont crease

I was told to fold sheets and place them lengthways on the ironing board - that way they get ironed while you do everything else.

Some posters advised me how to get the cat hairs off my stairs without dragging a huge hoover up and down all the time last week...

Anyone else know some good ones - its h**sew*rk day tomorrow and im in the mood for shortcuts this week!
